FORT BRAGG, N.C. – Seven Soldiers of the North Carolina National Guard’s Accelerated Officer Candidate School Class 23 take their Commissioned Officer Oath during a commissioning ceremony here, March 16. The Soldiers from Accelerated Officer Candidate School Class 23 were commissioned as Army 2nd lieutenants. Class 23 just completed a grueling 8-week course taught at Fort McClellan, Ala. The Soldiers were tested on both their physical and mental aptitudes in the disciplines of field leadership, advanced map reading, doctrinal studies, history and various types of tactical training. Upon graduation, the new officers will report back to their N.C. Guard units.
