Veteran’s can use this website to check on status for claims with the VA:
The VBA employee (VSR) working that case has 5 business days to respond with a real answer on claims and other processing within the VBA. The person answering the 800#, cannot always see what is really happening during the adjudication process and may not always be able to give the most accurate information. Plus if there is a delay in the processing, it does bring that particular claim back to the attention of the VSR and can make a difference on the time it takes to resolve. The Veteran decides on how the VARO contacts them, via mail, email or phone call.
