RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Largemouth Communications, a full-service public relations firm, is raising the voice of the Soldiers & Airmen Assistance Fund (SAAF), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides support to N.C. Army and Air Guard families coping with unusual or unpreventable hardships.
Since 2004, the assistance fund has provided $1.2 million of financial assistance to more than 1,200 National Guard families. Assistance is provided in the form of grants that are paid directly to families, mortgage lenders, utility companies, hospitals and other providers.
Relying solely on individual and business donations to complete its mission, SAAF first reached out to Largemouth Communications to reignite participation in what was once its largest fundraiser, a specialty license plate, “In God We Trust.” Of the $30 annual fee for each “In God We Trust” license plate tag, $20 will directly benefit the SAAF to continue their support of the N.C. Army and Air Guard families.
“Our team is fortunate to have witnessed the incredible efforts of military support organizations like the Soldiers & Airmen Assistance Fund through our work for many of our clients,” said Brandon Bryce, president and CEO of Largemouth. “Through our public relations efforts, Largemouth has already had a measurable impact on license plate sales, allowing the fund’s efforts to continue and expand. That’s an impact that resonates throughout the Largemouth team.”
Largemouth Communication’s strategic public relations campaign, including an unveiling ceremony at Joint Forces Headquarters in Raleigh, N.C. and statewide media relations efforts, secured stories in broadcast, print and online media outlets across North Carolina, including News & Observer, News 14 Carolina and NBC 17. The fundraiser has already begun to see an increase in orders.
