Work is underway on a project about disabled veterans from World War I to the present. The filmmakers are looking at how vets have been injured in each of the conflicts since WWI and what life was/is like for them after they return home. What are the experiences in dealing with the government/VA,their medical issues/treatments, living with family and friends, adjusting to daily life? To show how the war doesn’t stop when they come home. They are looking for personal accounts that will become the heart of the project. Right now they are working on the chapter on women veterans and are looking for women willing to share their stories. If you are an interested female disabled veteran you can contact the filmmaker Kem Sawyer at firstname.lastname@example.org They plan to come to the Raleigh area sometime in the next couple of months.
