More than 10 years in the making the film documents the entire campaign of the 30th Infantry Division during WWII. Landing at Normandy the film takes the viewer all the way across France. Belgium and The Netherlands, into Germany. Scenes include stories of the Hedgerows, the bombing at StLo, the Battle of Mortain, breeching the Siegfried Line, the Battle of the Bulge, and meeting the Russians in Germany. The narrative is supported by compelling stories told by dozens of veterans filmed over the past decade with added recollections and perspective from the French, Dutch, and the Belgians they liberated. Scenes filmed with the veterans include the reunions, 3 tours to Europe, and re-enactments shot at the actual locations, provide perspective of what the men experienced during combat.
