One-year scholarships are awarded to qualified applicants who are members of the North Carolina National Guard Association, their spouses, children, legal dependents, and grandchildren of Life Members. If you are not a member of the NCNGA, you may join online.  Scholarship recipients must attend an accredited educational institution and may reapply each year by completing a current application and competing on the same basis as other applicants.

College students with only one semester remaining may qualify for a partial scholarship.

The Scholarship Selection Committee meets in April to review applications. The committee is made up of six people, three who read the high school applications and three who read the college applications. Applications are reviewed on the below criteria. After selections have been approved, notifications are sent to all applicants in May.

*The 2024-2025 Scholarship application will go live on December 1, 2023. *
